IDEA is a think tank dedicated to shaping a sustainable future for Luxembourg, through a global approach based on three pillars: identifying major challenges, producing new knowledge and ideas, feeding the public debate and participating in it.

Main topic of the internship: the national philanthropy sector

In collaboration with several key players in Luxembourg’s philanthropic sector, IDEA will supervise and coordinate a study aimed at providing a clear and structured overview of the national philanthropy sector. The intern will be responsible for carrying out the study.

 

Your missions

  1. Literature review on the role of philanthropy (in Luxembourg and internationally)
  2. Mapping key stakeholders and the areas they support
  3. Conduct of a semi-directive stakeholders survey via interviews
  4. Identifying key challenges with the stakeholders of the sector and potential recommendations
  5. Writing a final report: an overview of the entire philanthropy sector in Luxembourg
  6. Organizing an event to present and discuss the conclusions of the report

 

Your profile

  1. Be pursuing a degree in economics, social sciences or political sciences, be in the process of finalizing a degree of this type or have recently graduated. An internship agreement is required.
  2. Have a good knowledge of current socio-economic challenges in Luxembourg and Europe as well as an interest in philanthropy and/or public policies.
  3. Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills in English, fluency in French is particularly desirable. Knowledge in Luxembourgish and German is considered an asset.
  4. Be able to work independently and feel comfortable building contacts and communicating with stakeholders.
  5. Have a good command of statistics and fluent use of MS Office computer tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
  6. Process strong analytical and synthesis skills, along with a proactive attitude and intellectual curiosity.
